Induction Programme for MBA Batch 2008-2010 held at RIMT - Campus
organized by RIMT - IMCT and RIMT - SMS
| RIMT-Institute of Management and Computer Technology and RIMT-School of Management Studies jointly organized an ‘orientation programme’ for the freshers of the MBA course in the RIMT-IMCT campus here today. In this programme 120 students of RIMT-IMCT and 80 students of RIMT-SMS respectively participated.
In his welcome address the chairman of the RIMT group and noted industrialist of the region Hukam Chand Bansal asked students to use the various facilities and the resources of the institute to become the industry-ready managers of international standards. He assured students that every step would be taken to ensure quality in education and the satisfaction of the students.

The chief guest of the programme Mr. V.M. Trehan who is the chairman of the Mekaster Group of Industries and a pioneer in the field of telecommunication called upon the students to adopt focused and disciplined approach in life for success by giving numerous examples from his long illustrious carrer. He asked students to forsee the coming opportunities in the burgeoning Indian Economy and tap them by gaining more knowledge and skill development.

| On this occasion Mr. Trehan offered that if any student of the institute is facing any financial difficulty in meeting expenses of his studies instead of leaving the study he should approach his group and he would actively try to provide the all possible financial help in this regard to continue the study. Dr. B.S. Bhatia the director general of the institute thanked Mr. Trehan for this gesture. |

On this occasion a book on ‘Management of Service Sector’ edited by the director general of the Regional Institute of Management and Technology Dr. B.S. Bhatia was released by Mr. Trehan. Eminent strategic management consultant Dr. Prem Kumar, the principal of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce, Ludhiana presenting the review of book appreciated the contents of the book which contains various perspectives and strategies to study and counter the challenges posed by the emerging service sector.
Dr. Surinder Singh, the director of the RIMT-School of Management Studies in his review of the book lauded the efforts of Dr. Bhatia and other scholar in compiling the valuable research which covers almost all the aspects of service sector.
In the end Dr. S.P. Singh, the director of the RIMT-IMCT presented vote of thanks on this occasion.
