Masters in Computer
Applications (3-years Full-Time Programme)
Master in
Computer Applications (MCA) programme is aimed at providing
in-depth under-standing to students in technical, human and conceptual
skills. The teaching methodology includes interactive lectures, discussions, case-studies,
field projects, simulations and other learning tools to ensure that
students master not only the basic tools and theories, but know-how to
real-life professional experience as well.
Eligibility
- A
recognized Bachelor's Degree in any discipline of minimum 3 years duration
with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level.
OR
- A Bachelor's Degree in
Computer Applications of minimum 3 years duration from any recognized
university.
OR
- A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with
statistics as one of the subjects
OR
- Any Other Bachelor's
Degree with Mathematics / Quantitative Techniques as a subject at
Degree-Level (Acceptable to the University)
Programme Structure
The programme
covers 27 courses spread over 3 years in 6 semesters. Students are also
required to undergo one industrial training assignment of one
semester.
Electives
The
students are encouraged to choose 7 courses as electives from three
elctives I, II and III. Students are having the flexibility to choose more
than one course from these streams. All the electives will be offered
subject to minimum number of enrollments for a particular elective.
